Role overview

We’re empowering every African founder, investor, and employee with the tools to create financial independence from holding stocks in startups. The African tech scene is booming, and we are looking for a growth & content marketing specialist who will build the campaigns and strategies to educate and activate our customer base.

Your role will focus on reading data, optimizing our sales funnel, and supporting Raise’s customers in getting the best value from our ecosystem of content, community, and digital products. On a daily basis, your role will be to engage the community, evangelize Raise’s long-term goals and identify growth opportunities for the company. Once identified, your job is to design, test, and set up the growth campaigns, and then show success & failure using data.

We use a lot of low-code applications and integrations, so you’ll have the freedom to propose creative new projects and new tools to attract and convert prospects. Some of the cool campaigns we’ve run:

  • A community-led founders' toolkit with over 50 free templates for African founders

  • Pre-money valuation report for companies that are fundraising

  • Match-making founders, employees & investors

  • Workshops on cap tables and equity with a 4.95 rating across our customer base

You’ll be exposed to a number of tools, and we primarily rely on Google Analytics, Reply.io, Hubspot, Airtable, and Intercom. The product is quickly evolving into the decentralized financial world, and experience with crypto-land is preferred, but not necessary.

✅ What we look for in you

  • 3 to 5 years experience as a SaaS marketing growth hacker with proven experience in growth marketing phases from user research, planning to execution, and retrospectives

  • A portfolio demonstrating growth implementations, experiments, and interventions

  • Strong analytic skills including A/B testing, web metrics, and sales metrics

  • Skilled at web optimization, sales generation, conversion analysis, and creating sales funnels

  • Innate interest in learning about customers behavior through both numbers and qualitative data

  • Basic understanding of statistics

  • Decent Excel skills – know how to do pivot tables  SQL knowledge a big bonus

  • Applicable knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery to be able to set up Optimizely tests.

  • Sufficient graphic editing skills to be able to modify graphics to create test variations

  • Willing to learn what you don’t already know

  • In-depth knowledge of SEO factors and key algorithm updates

  • Domain expertise in UI/UX best practices

  • Creative, outstanding analytical and problem-solving, and a results-driven mindset.

  • Curious, innovative, and confident in your abilities to drive change.

  • High standards of excellence and attention to detail

🛠 What you’ll be expected to do

  • Work with the Growth team to design marketing & content campaigns to onboard and active customers

  • Market new products and releases to engage the community

  • Follow up and profile our user base to better activate them

  • Set up, QA, and run A/B tests.

  • Set up, QA, and run usability tests, often, but not always.

  • Ensure tests get up and running, and willing and able to help the product and marketing team interpret results and present them to management without bias.
